28th Annual Black Writers On Tour + Business +Tech Expo

*Dr. Rosie Milligan brings the largest Black cultural event for Southern California—Black Writers On Tour (BWOT) + Business + Tech Expo—showcasing authors and business owners from across the country—under one roof. You will learn “The New Way of Doing Business in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) Era.” This powerful, one-day event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Carson Community Center located at 801 E. Carson St., Carson, California 90046.

Come join our Round Table Discussion, “The Future and Marketing Strategies for Black Authors.” Dr. Bill Releford takes on a major sponsorship role in bridging the technology gap for African American children and adults. Other sponsors and BWOT partnerships include My Tech Academy, The Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley Journal News, PACE News, and City National Bank. The theme for 2024 is “Literacy is Everybody’s Business—Literacy + Entrepreneurship + Technology Changes Lives.”

There will be authors and business owners on hand displaying their products and services. Writers and business owners will learn how technology can enhance their literary works and businesses. COVID-19 brought about a shift in cultural consciousness; Black Americans, now more than ever, seek to do business with Black-owned businesses. Writers and business owners must seize the moment.

This year’s Expo connects writers with readers, and businesses with consumers. Throughout the day, workshops and seminars will be held for writers/aspiring writers, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

With dedication and a heart of compassion, BWOT founder Dr. Rosie Milligan says: “Empowering ourselves through equality in literacy, business opportunities, and technological literacy is not just beneficial—it’s imperative for our collective progress and prosperity.”
